Highlighting different research areas

The primary objective of the virtual tour was to communicate the unique advantages of Amsterdam Science Park remotely, allowing prospective businesses to explore the facility from anywhere in the world. The project aimed to highlight ASP’s dedication to four main research areas:

  1. AI & Digital Innovation
  2. Sustainability
  3. Life Sciences and (e)Health
  4. High-tech Systems and Materials

Flow of the tour

The virtual tour starts with a welcoming introduction by key ASP personnel, followed by some general information and sections dedicated to each of the park’s core research areas. Interactive elements within the tour allow visitors to engage with informational content for better retention. Unique to this tour is that is offers users an insight into areas that are not normally open to the public.

The project concludes with a direct call to action, inviting prospects to contact the Science and Business Department at ASP, ensuring that every tour ends with an opportunity for immediate engagement.

Updating and expanding content

One important reason for Amsterdam Science Park to choose Intractive was the ability to update and expand the tour content. That fact that every Intractive story is built up of different content blocks, makes it possible to simply change one of the blocks, replace content, add video’s or questions or even add an entire branch. This feature was crucial for ASP, reflecting the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the park. It ensures that new advancements and areas can be added to the tour as they develop, keeping the content fresh and engaging.

The virtual tour has been a significant success, offering potential businesses a thorough understanding of what ASP has to offer. The digital approach has not only widened the reach but also enriched the engagement with potential investors and entrepreneurs.

The virtual tour has even been picked up by online magazines like Frankwatching multiple times already, discussing the innovative angle and effectiveness of this way of communicating. 

Features in this story

  • Branching: for this interactive story, the branching option facilitates a different path for each area of focus. Prospective business can choose the area that applies to them, showing them only the information that is relevant to them.
  • Virtual reality: various 360 virtual reality scenes offer users the opportunity to look around in area that are not normally accessible.

Gamification: users are encouraged to learn about different aspects of the campus through for instance multiple choice questions.
